Name: Federal Small Lands Tract (Veteran's Tract) Lot Patents
Display Field: TRS
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: VETPATNT displays the approximate boundaries of each individual lot that was originally platted as part of a Veteran's Tract.
Known Errors/Qualifications: Not all lots displayed in this layer were issued patents under the Federal Small Tract Act. Also, for some lots that were issued patents, no patent document is now available. Layer boundaries don't necessarily coincide with current parcel boundaries due to lot splits and other subsequent changes.
Lineage: Heads-up digitized using numerous original Supplemental Plats, Dependent Resurveys and Subdivisions, along with current parcel boundaries for additional guidance (4/29/2013, EG).
Spatial Domain: Pima County
Rectified: source map
Maintenance Organization: PC Engineering Information Mgmt
Maintenance Description: When updates to the geometry are needed, Lynn Jarzombek in EIM will make the edits.

Name: Federal Small Lands Tract (Veteran's Tract) Areas
Display Field: TRS
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: VETBOUND displays the approximate boundaries of the areas platted for Veteran's Tracts, by section. This layer is a more useful version of the inactive layer VETTRACT (which only displayed section boundaries).
Known Errors/Qualifications: Two of the areas displayed in this layer were originally platted for Veteran's Tracts, but no patents were ever issued. One area in particular is now part of the Pascua Yaqui nation. Use this layer in conjunction with VETPATNT to easily find both areas with no patents. Layer boundaries don't necessarily coincide with current parcel boundaries.

Name: Neighborhood Vulnerability in the Tucson Region 2018
Display Field: NAMELSAD
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: The City of Tucson, Pima County, and the Economic and Business Research Center at the University of Arizona have collaborated to study housing and neighborhood vulnerability within the City of Tucson and Pima County. The goal of the first phase of this study is to identify "vulnerable", or stressed, neighborhoods within our region by compiling a Neighborhood Vulnerability Index.
Known Errors/Qualifications: Five features have composite scores of 0, which caused errors calculating other fields as received. These records should be ignored by using a definition query or similar filter such as: Vulnerable = 'YES' OR Vulnerable = 'NO'
Lineage: 5/1 added V_status field
Here are the breaks in AVG_Z where vulnerable = YES:
0-7.5 = vulnerable
7.5-17.5 = more vulnerable
17.5-25.3 = most vulnerable
Not vulnerable is simply where vulnerable = NO
There is a first condition to determine vulnerability in the first place. Therefore, it is possible for vulnerable = NO to have AVG_Z > 0.

Description: STRESS10 displays recent indicators of stress for Pima County, both as individual variables and as a composite index. Data were obtained from the 2009-2013 American Community Survey (5-Year Data) at the block group level. This layer is the latest in a series of stress indicators (using 1980, 1990, and 2000 Census data) that were originally used to target areas in the County (or the City of Tucson) for housing rehabilitation. Methodology is largely identical to that used in STRESS00 layer.
Caution should be used when interpreting these data; it's important to understand 1) the source ACS data, 2) the methodology used to create this index, and 3) what the results actually mean. In particular, note that--contrary to the layer file name--the ACS data were collected for a period of five years from 2009 to 2013, and so this should not be represented as a stress index for 2010 only.
